PUB CRAWL

gān bēi (乾杯)

Bottoms up

First, I want to say- if you are meeting people for a pub crawl (a group of people that you don’t know) try not to be late and have everyone waiting for you- WE’RE SORRY!!!!

We made the decision to go on the pub crawl earlier that day, it cost about 700 NTD- which includes drinks, some food, and entry to a club. It was worth going especially if you don’t know any bars in the city.  We started by going to “On Tap”, which is an English pub.  We introduced ourselves over a couple of Taiwanese beers and made some small talk- there was probably 10-15 of us from all over the world. SO COOL.  We journeyed by foot to the next location- a Japanese bar where we drank lots of alcohol; “Sake”.  I think it was my first time having it… We also got some plates of food, some squid, rice and other little dishes.  Pace yourself as you only get more and more drinks.  So definitely grab a bite!

We made our way to 81 SHOTS, which is obviously a shots bar.  We had maybe 10 shots each… I don’t know exactly how many shots the tour comes with, because we had a guy on the tour buy a bunch more after the first “free” (included in fee) round.  Hopefully you guys will get just as lucky.  They were all different kinds of flavours- some were like a pina colada, some were more mint flavoured! You are sure to find one you will enjoy.

We took a taxi to our last stop; where you split the fare with other pub crawlers.  The club was called “Triangle”, this is where we danced late into the night. A live DJ and a dance floor, or you could just dance on the stage.  Beers are expensive there so be sure to stop by 7/11 and have a roady before you go into the club.  So drink up, give strangers your “line”, and have a great night!

Cheers
